On Friday 2 October, the Friends of Summer Opera Association Bamberg State Minister, Dr. Thomas Goppel, MP for the new 1st Chairman. Dr. Goppel takes over from the artistic director of the Summer Opera Bamberg Till Fabian Weser as a former chairman. The Office of the Vice President assumes the architect and former city councilor Dr. Birgit Dietz. As Treasurer, the Head of Department Dr. Lutz Steigerwald was elected Schimmelpfennig. In the extended board of the association members also chose Brigitte Betz, Jürgen Hofferberth, Secretary Melanie Huml, MP, Dr. Anton Trinidad & Till Fabian Weser

Dr. Thomas Goppel is excited about the concept of summer opera Bamberg: "It is from Bamberg that it is not only cultural World-class houses, but was also very young talent and the future of music is dedicated. The Summer Opera Bamberg is a summit of the artists of today and tomorrow! Since I am happy there and doing my post! "As 1st Chairman will make Goppel broad interest but also to the project sponsors summer opera Bamberg attention and help so many young singers and musicians to master the first steps in career success and Bamberg to enrich a cultural highlight. The artistic director Till Fabian Weser is excited about the election Goppel: "In Dr. Goppel we have a competent person at the right time for our cause, and found delight can!"
