Verena Ratzke : Kea, which is special for you at the summer opera?
Kea Flörcken: The great thing about the summer opera is that it is a project with young musicians and singers who thus have the opportunity to gain experience, both in the samples, as well as the performances. In addition, these young people, the mood in the theater. Theatre is not only fun but also hard work, discipline and concentration, but will be rewarded with wonderful performances.
VR: How do you feel about working with the participants?
KF: Very pleasant and positive. I'm not right in the middle of the action, but a kind of "onlooker". But the contacts I had with the participants were open and friendly, sometimes areas, for example, the discussions with some singers and orchestra musicians.
VR: What did you have in advance SOB organize everything?
KF: Since the summer opera already been twice, many preparatory work was already done. But still, of course, fell on some organizational things: I was in talks between Till Fabian Weser and Rainer Lewandowski here, have argued that for some auditions, controlled the tickets arrangements, took care of surtitles, researched information on the introduction for the audience and then written and Kerstin Werner discussed the press. VR: What the work falls on during the SOB for you?
KF: Actually, the normal dramatic work as a music dramaturge. I was at the rehearsals, I set up the supertitles - a very important work, because the text is supposed to match the events on stage have written press releases, and writes articles for the theatrical newspaper. KF: Well, first times as an introduction to a voluntary offer to the public.
