follows after our last interview with Till Fabian Weser now have another interview with a person who plays for the planning and implementation of the Summer Opera Bamberg an important role.
Now it can but come the time, despite her young age already very experienced and friendly Project Manager to speak, which is currently in very shortly before her master's degree drama, music, science and literature at the University of Mainz.
How did you hear about the SOB project and how did you finally do, there cooperate?
I had with my predecessor, Katrina Kirsch Fest 2 years with Kurt Weill worked in Dessau. It has made the project management of the Summer Opera in 2007 and would have gladly done so again in 2009, but was then professionally so involved that it was impossible for her. So they suggested me - so I've heard for the first time by the summer opera.
What excites you personally in them, just to work there / where do you see differences with other Opernhäuern / festivals?
The Summer Opera Bamberg is a very young project - I like that the participants have not yet experienced artists. For the young singers and orchestra musicians, the Summer Opera springboard character: many are only at the beginning of their Career and make the summer opera is its first real operatic experience - there is so much adrenaline to feel and can be at most in the few weeks a great artistic and personal development bemerken.Ich think it's also fascinating to see how young people from across Europe to work with a thought - a joint project and the intense time simply weld together, and so have some parting tears in his eyes.
What exactly is your mandate and what you have to take care of you all? Where the difference lies within the remit of Till?
Basically, I'm an assistant during the summer opera Till Fabian Weser, in terms of the organizational area - I manage the project office'm so starting point for all participants, making test plans, organize the reception of the participants, leisure time, premiere parties, writing references, attendance certificates, run errands, etc. - now I'm on the run even point of contact when they receive the applications and help out with some editorial work. I also care about the street team that promotes Europe for the summer opera. The area is very difficult to isolate because it usually happens spontaneously lot - I try to capture it so well, so the musical director of the head for rehearsals free remains.
What you is especially important if you conduct such a project?
me it is important that the artists feel comfortable and well looked after - I hope that they feel that they have for all her worries are a starting point and is listened to them. There they are taken seriously as a person and artist 100%. Of course they may come at any time only a few biscuits and a brief chat to the office. Even though I am only responsible for the organizational level, I would not lose the picture of the artistic work, try as much as possible in rehearsals to be and to monitor the situation - this is very important to me.
Does the project management for you from generally similar to, or are there differences - if so, what will change for you under the CFA in 2011 compared to 2009?
Even if it is basically the same project is happening, always unexpected. 2011 will be from 2009 differ mainly by the different theme - "Le Nozze de Figaro" and the emphasis on historical performance practice, we have a very different offer and a very different artistic standards as 2009 with "La Bohème," but I am just got to the workshop with Angelika Kirchschlager and other sweets, waiting for the artists and I am pleased to participate this year in the run may have ..
What are your future career goals and do you think that the SOB you prepared?
I had some jobs in the theater, from the assistant director of the props to the assistant dramaturg, but in recent years, mostly working in the organization of the Festival / Festival, which gave me a lot of fun: at the Handel Festival Göttingen, the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau, etc. - I think it will me professionally hinverschlagen - I would like to dedicate the artist relations, as this is often too short and work on projects in the organizational field of cultural institutions: the may be, from opera, theater or concert: but adrenaline has to be there.
Thank you for taking the time for the interview!
