Wedding Programs Wording Indie

is between the two premiers

After the Summer Opera Bamberg now able to realize for the third time successfully an opera production (2005, 2007, 2009), it is time to let the people speak, who initiated the whole project and since the beginning for the organization and the artistic Management is responsible.

Till Fabian Weser, born in 1965 in Bloomington, Indiana in the U.S., along with numerous other musical activities trumpeter with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, leads the Big Band Orchestra and continues as an opera conductor for the next generation of young singers and orchestra musicians one. His particular artistic interests lie mainly in the intersection of old and new music. In addition to many artistic studies and conducting courses can also look back on a long concert career at home and abroad.

took for an interview, the likeable all-round musician with many talents still like time:

What you came to the idea of something like the Bamberg Summer Opera set up? There are usually already workshops for orchestra, but rarely for opera and orchestra.

precisely Yes, It is basically one of the reasons. I myself was in 1990 one year internship at the Dusseldorf Opera. And my studies I was not really prepared for what it means in a real orchestra pit to play. This is a very different atmosphere than on the stage with a concert orchestra. But the nervousness and stage fright in the pit are different than on the stage. So I can say from the perspective of the orchestra musicians, as there is a need. In You can also track how many good singers there are who are all waiting for an opportunity. This combination of options are otherwise scarcely convey. There are opera productions at music schools, but will usually not take place in an opera house. So the things I have said, as with the stage fright just one of the pit - the smell of the theater. And what of course particularly important is that there is an intense and sustained work. That means we do not work for four weeks in a piece so that it will perform once, but we have a whole series of six concerts.
For singers, of course, it is the same. Theater air they breathe, they have a real opera house with modern stage equipment and all the trimmings, what is there in this time just for them.
This is also our project partner, the ETA Hoffmann Theatre. The entire technical staff, which swirls in the background is really there for the project because of the performance. The interlock. Intense and harmonious.

Bamberg itself does so really not an opera house, right?

Bamberg, the Municipal Theatre, which later was renamed in ETA Hoffmann-Theater, because the theater was named director there. There is still an orchestra pit, and especially after the renovation of the theater, the stage space in the old style and leave the orchestra pit has also been upgraded with cherry pickers, etc. But there was already a tradition of opera in front of Bamberg ETA Hoffmann. There were also played major opera "Der Freischütz", "Don Giovanni", etc.
The centennial anniversary of ETA Hoffmann Tales of Hoffmann was also listed. So really big operas. We draw on the urban tradition and play great operas, starting with just Tosca (2005), Pagliacci (2007) and La Bohème (2009).

Is there any cooperation with Bayreuth? Yes you forgive and internally the Richard Wagner opera scholarship to participants of the summer, which are characterized in particular?

The has to do only indirectly with Bayreuth, because many culturally-oriented cities have a local Richard-Wagner-Verband - for us it is the Richard Wagner Association, Section of Bamberg. This has got from Bayreuth, the opportunity to award a scholarship. To this end they are encouraged to seek talented young artists and to find. And that's a collaboration that we make in 2007, where a singer is chosen, to whom we awarded a scholarship.

to keyword operas. It was very obvious that many of Puccini's operas have been selected. Was it coincidence or intentional?

Yes and no. Let's put it this way: The reason why the opera at the summer first project, "Tosca" was elected, of course, quite deliberately. If you are driving such an ambitious project and would bring not only an opera orchestra, or a workshop but both together, you have been many critics and skeptics in advance. If you then no matter how challenging opera takes as "Tosca", then you of course need more skeptics. But if it succeeds then, as 2005 was also the case, yes, you've just earned a level of the summer opera Bamberg can be perceived as an interesting research project for young instrumentalists and singers.

addition, the one I personally developed a fondness for Puccini did, on the other hand, we have chosen operas, for all instrumental groups alike - that of the first violin to the triangle - are playing attractive and also have a specific educational background: the orchestra playing in a verismo opera, which very difficult. The most difficult part of the opera was "La Bohème" (2009), where do even large professional orchestra hard straight to the beginning of the piece. to convey That, and a fun to play such an opera and learn alike, it was just the thing itself. betrayed
Without carefully, I can say that after three Puccini burp in 2011, a completely different door and do deliberately go in a different direction.

How far has this project changed summer opera Bamberg over the years?

The quality has grown steadily, driven by the recognition and acceptance. The increasing attractiveness reapply for the musicians and singers. Especially in the area, the singer has increased dramatically, even as by the master class with Edda Moser 2009th

have yet apart from it things changed over the years that there is the summer opera now?

much easier to go in the organization, because you would not know to what arrives there. What is hard is always the same, the acquisition of funds, and I can not say yet whether the same weight due to the overall economic situation remains more or heavier.

it is not likely to be assumed that due to the visibility and popularity of the Bamberg summer opera in the future, perhaps even easier, because one or the other donor is aware?

That's right. To date, most resources come into it on foundations in the project and yet too little of sponsors and more sponsors, we will try to point out, because it is an attractive "product" is what is taking place not only in Europe but Bamberg itself. "Think Global" (meaning Europe) and "Act local". This motto is especially just for the summer opera Bamberg, which is a very interesting constellation.

given a question. Sets the value that it is a European workshop and left? Because there is now a musician and singer, who applied from all over the world. approved

We have decided that any student who lives in or is. I do not think it corresponds to the European idea, if looked after passport or nationality is. One should Europe as a melting pot - look - just as one knows the United States of America. Draw from the diverse cultural opportunities and allow the many international musicians and singers to participate in the Summer Opera to pass the exam.

Thank you for your time!

Skin Colored Bumps On Knees And Elbows

New board for the Friends of the Summer Opera Bamberg eV

Now that we have a little bit on the part of participants about the Summer Opera Project 2009 - Puccini's "La Bohème" - have learned to at regular intervals, small eyes on the background to the opera and the works of composers are thrown .

In this first blog on the background, to be thrown a spotlight on the short stuff of opera, which proves to this day one of the top spots in the worldwide opera repertoire.

It is the first of three operas for which Puccini worked successfully with the duo in their Illica and Giacosa. Because besides the music, took part Puccini also always very hard to develop the plot on the opera stage, in the course of the individual scenes and the dialogues.

for the opera "La Bohème", the three worked the only major success of the Paris literati Mürger Henry (1822-1861), who in his "Scenes de la Vie de Bohème" episodes of Parisian artist creates life. That these images are so realistic and will remain so until it is used in opera by Puccini, is because that Müge himself was a bohemian in Paris, who has joined many of his friends, girlfriends and acquaintances to characters of his novel and his own experience of life as Bohème has incorporated.

All persons appearing were real, existing models. That and the very differentiated and detailed scenery that is developed in the novel and adopted in much of the opera make up a large part of the success of Puccini's opera.

Many of Puccini operas are titled after the name of the heroine (Tosca; Madame Butterfly, Manon, ...). In "La Bohème" Puccini dispense it - although his "Mimi" the strongest and the heart taken heroines at all counts. Despite the strong story of Mimi and Rodolfo is Puccini focus its opera quite clear on the description of an artist's life on the bottom step, which Henry Mürger According to either the precursor to the (artistic) Academy, or (most commonly the case) to the poorhouse and death - this very preliminary stage is what the name "La Bohème" Puccini and what expresses both the libretto and both wanted to express in music. So this is his first opera in which music and drama to keep the balance.

Here is the link to the film segment with Anna Netrebko and Villazon Rollando, "Mimi's death scene", which the gloomy shadows of the bohemian life brings so much to bear.

Non Blushing Niacin And High Colesterol

A week rehearsal period - an interim

Last time one could read about Pablo Karaman, who was awarded by the Richard-Wagner-Verband Bamberg e.V.
In the meantime we had the chance to talk to Pablo again and get to know something more about this special scholarship he was decorated with.

Pablo, how did you get this award?

" I was awarded and got the scholarschip for my part in "La Bohème. " (male leading role; Sommer Oper Bamberg 2009).

And how do you feel about that?

" I am really happy and honored about this. It is a great possibility to leran more about Wagner's operas and his city. "

Can you tell us something more about this scholarship? What exactly is its content and why was it arranged?

" The scholarship was made according to Wagner's wish, to make his music accessible to the general public. The scholarship consists of visiting three operas during the festival and various introductions and other activities. It is a great way to participate in the festival. "

Did you already have a point of contact with Wagner and his music in the past?

" I already started listening to Wagner in Argentina, where are many "Wagnerians". If asked which opera I like to sing in the future I will chose Lohengrin. But it all depends on how my voice develops and which "street it takes". "

Pablo, thank you very much for the talk.
